Dickinson College receives the largest gift in its history, a $10 million unrestricted bequest. Dickinson also receives a $400,000 grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation to finance research in archaelogy and anthropology and $1 million from the Starr Foundation to help it attract students from economically-diverse backgrounds. Colby College receives $900,000 in grants to support environmental initiatives. Harvey Mudd College is awarded a $500,000 grant for the purpose of creating an Engineering Project Design Studio and Instructional Center.
