Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

I don't often work late at the office, but the other night I was there plugging away on a paper, when 10:00 came and bam! my heat went off. During the summer, air conditioning turns off at 5:00 sharp, and within five minutes my office is uninhabitable. Around Christmas they shut the heat off entirely. Apparently the College administration does not want me to work unconventional hours. I suspect a plot to reduce my productivity to the level where I'm only worth what they're willing to pay me.
