Iraq war

According to the National Priorities Project website, the war in Iraq has cost the U.S. $243,934,618,586 as of 2:43:50 p.m. on February 27, 2006. The CIA World Factbook says the Iraq's GDP in 2005 was approximately $94.1 billion (purchasing power parity dollars). That means that roughly speaking, over the last three years the US has spent about as much on the war in Iraq as that country's total production during that time!
