Wives behaving badly

For the record, I think that in most cases, wives should inform their husbands when they plan to have an abortion. But I do not think that a state should be able to require wives to inform their husbands when they intend to have an abortion. This puts me at odds with George Bush's newest nominee to the Supreme Court (in Planned Parenthood v. Casey). I hope the pro choice crowd can communicate to the American people how backward Alito's position on this issue (and many others) is. The immediate problem, I'd tell the American people, is not that Alito is too anti-abortion; the problem is that he believes that married women are not autonomous individuals.
