Conservatives on Foley

So we have

- Tony Snow referring to Rep. Foley's communication with teenage pages as "naughty emails".

- Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday: "Inappropriate behavior towards subordinates didn’t cost Gerry Studds his Democratic seat in Massachussetts, nor Barney Frank his. Nor did inappropriate behavior toward a subordinate even cost Bill Clinton his standing within the Democratic Party, even though indirectly he was impeached for it."

- Bay Buchanan, also on Fox, attacking the House leadership for giving Foley - "a known homosexual" - access to pages.

To be clear, the issue here is not "inappropriate behavior towards subordinates," it's inappropriate behavior towards minors - there's a huge difference! And the issue is not homosexuality, it's pedophilia - there's a huge difference!

I also love the spin in many media reports that this situation is ironic because conservatives are traditionally the party of family values. What, liberals are traditionally pro-pedophilia?
